Any teacher, administrator or other school employee who receives notice that a child has or may be the victim of harassment is required to immediately report the alleged acts to the Coordinator.

Upon receipt of a report or complaint, an investigation will be undertaken within 24 hours and will consist of personal interviews with all individuals reasonably believed to have relevant information including the complainant, the alleged violator, and others who have knowledge of the alleged incident; as well as a review of relevant documents or other information. The investigation will maintain confidentiality as much as possible while still allowing for a thorough review of all relevant information and be completed no later than within 10 days of the receipt of the complaint. No retaliation will be permitted against any complainant or person who participates in an investigation, including any form of intimidation, reprisal or harassment. Upon completion of the investigation, Solterra Academy will take appropriate formal or informal action to address, and if appropriate, remediate the violation.
